There is a phrase out there that seems to be generate a healthy revenue stream as far as I can determine, but I am a newbie. really green. The thing is its a phrase. Lets call it: "America love it or leave it" Im giving an example because the order of the words does matter, it makes no sense if you juggle the order. Anyhow, one entity has a domain name for America Love it or Leave it. Right? It is parked, there is no action on it, other than do you want to buy this? And some other dumb ads... No one has a domain name on "America love it or leave. Nor does anyone have "America love it or" Nor "America love it" you get the idea. The parked domain site does not rank high, it is maybe on the third page of google search. I do a google adwords key word tool for the exact phrase putting in quotes. There are a number of phrases, quite similar, that seem have between 8k-22k a month local searches, and these avg CPC of 65-80 cents. Competition is very low here, from extremely low to may be about 15% of the google bar is colored. Now there is one other phrase that generates about $2 avg CPC it has about 12k monthly local search and again low competition and another similar phrase that generates about $8 avg CPC, 200k monthly local and about mid range competition, the bar is colored about 50%. I know I can write good web content related to this phrase. is it worth pulling the trigger and buying the three word phrase and putting in content and hopeing to pull some in from this traffic? What other factors would you look for. THere are two entities one is very large mega entity that competes here and another oen that is fairly known its own niche but not to the public at large. i am really tempted to pull the trigger on the domain name, but then why hasnt someone else figured this out already? Any suggestiosn would be really appreciated. This one is bugging the heck out of me. |
