How to rank high in Yahoo?

HOw do you think we can rank high in Yahoo search engine? Do you think it's easier to rank with Google than Yahoo, since I think Google easily crawl n index new pages than Yahoo. It's like Google bot is more diligent than yahoo's .

What should we do?

Same activities like link building, n stuff like that?

Answer: Appear high in Google

Since Bing is serving pretty much the same results as Google (and admitted it), and because the Bing engine provides Yahoo results as well.....

If Google likes you Bing and Yahoo will too.

Only one thing I would say to add to my "theory". Bing and Yahoo tend to look for pages that have a title very close to exactly what the search was.

Example: keyword = big brown army boots

If the title of your page is BIG BROWN ARMY BOOTS Bing and Yahoo may favor your page.

With Google, they don't care as much if your page title is exactly as the phrase the user searched for.

Some speculation in my answer, but others could chime in with their theories to help you.

I don't care anything other than google much.

However, Unlike google yahoo gives less priority to Profile Backlinks.

totally agree i think that if yuu are ranking high in google you will automatically be high in yahoo as well

Yea, I noticed that my sites that are ranking high on Google are actually ranking even higher on yahoo and bing. I don't know if it has something to do with what I did, or if it's just automatic.

I have 1 site ranking high on google and it's no even showing on yahoo or bing..yes I have the main keyword on my domain,before you ask...

Focus on google, being there in bing is a bonus. Content, trust and links, its all the same whatever the engine.

It's much easier to rank well within Yahoo or Bing, than it is on Google.

I'm working on around 20 micro websites and most of them are rank 1, 2 or 3 in Yahoo... But not in Google where the best I did so far was #2 position in 2 sites.

I'm no expert but I think Yahoo (or Bing) uses less variables to determine your rank position. Just get a "dead-on" domain (with the exact keyword phrase you're targeting) and set a wordpress blog with some good content. Some time a unique article (set as page... no posts...) with the right kw density is enough to get you to #1 in Yahoo.

But as someone already wrote you should focus getting #1 position in Google. If you do that for sure you'll be also #1 in Yahoo...

The rank of the yahoo is calculated some different ways. It is calculated by SERP method. And also you can do the forums, blogs, article submission, bookmarking, directory etc.

Work on a high ranking in Google. Yahoo and Bing will fall in to place.
