Moving up, slowly but surely

Hey guys.

I have a site that's a week old. It has just over 55,000 results for my exact "keyword phrase"

My serp was 73 yesterday, just checked a minute ago, I'm now 21, almost on page 2!

Does this mean I'm moving slowly? Or I've moved and stopped?

I'm just wondering why I'm not on the first page, could it be lack of backlinks?

1) I have the exact keyphrase .com

2) My on page SEO is pretty air tight

I'm pinging the site every day, and tweeking the content...

I have a few backlinks, and have ordered a fiverr gig, which should pocket me a load more.

I'm still waiting for an article to be approved on ezine articles, I'm not platinum yet.

Do you think I'll keep moving up? Or do I just need to keep adding more backlinks? Content?

8 days ago. I have another site I started on the same day, that's number 3 on google, but there's only 3,000 exact phrase results.

I think one of the problems might have been, I uploaded it too soon, it wasn't really ready, I was still working on the on page SEO etc...

Ok.. now I'm a bit confused.

Acording to scroogle.org, I've moved up to 17th place.

Google, no change.

Now, here's the weird thing, I checked market samurai, for my exact keyword phrase, and I'm number 10, according to them... also, I have 350 backlinks!.... I've only done a few backlinks myself.

I used a fiverr gig to get 70 high pr backlinks... does market samurai show higher pr values as more backlinks?

Also, looking at the stats on market samurai, I outrank every other page... is it a case of just waiting for google?

Listen up. Your site is only 8 days old and you're acting like a worry wart sorry to say.

Stop checking your rankings and worry about adding new content and getting backlinks daily.

It can takes MONTHS for websites to stabilize in the search engines so give it some time.

I will guess maybe after another few weeks your site will drop in ranking

I should have been more clear, it's a review site for a new product, that's only a few weeks old, so all the sites/pages relating to it are new.

For now I'm just wondering about how a site ranks, and it's relation to market samurai... I just bought this software, and it seems pretty out of whack for what's actually on google.

Plus, I've no idea where my 350 backlinks (according to MS) came from.

Does it rate high PR backlinks as multiple backlinks?
