Default Does Hubpages help you?

Hey guys,
I've started publishing articles on Hubpages and I see the links are NoFollw but I'm wondering if it helps you getting traffic?

I know you'll probably say a link is a link no matter do follow or no follow and that Hubpages help, I just wanted to know first hand from people with experience, how much of your traffic comes from Hubpages? Does it really a powerful tool?

Thank you guys,

Very little traffic from Hubpages here. I think its quite normal to get the most traffic soon after publishing, then you get a sharp drop and then it stabilizes on the low end.

Take care,

Thanks for the replies guys,
Question is, does it worth to keep on publishing on Hubpages? Taking into account it's no follow links and you say you don't gain too much traffic - thoughts?

Thanks,

It is not good enough just being listed in Google. You have to try and get listed in Bing, Yahoo and minor search engines or directories used by people across the globe to make good money.
Saying that, it is very difficult to get listed high with Bing and Yahoo as they use different ways of selecting what is listed with them and where. Unlike Google which lists according to links, visit and the relevance of particular article (page) on the web.
Not to worry, I am listed in Google, MSN, Bing, Yahoo...that's all good.
I get what you're saying and that's a good point, I'll keep that in mind and publish there again from time to time.

Thanks,

I personally prefer other blog article services like...

* BraveNet Which allows you to put 25 links in your profile
* USA Today The name alone is a "no brainier" for traffic reasons
* Ezine Articles Which allows a variety of links in your profile and is probably the best article directory on the market.

However HubPages does draw traffic just as any method of link building will drive traffic if worked with correctly. The key to driving traffic with any of these tools is consistent frequency for as you become more prolific on these type of networks you take a stronger place in their rankings which builds your internal link juice. Also using Social Bookmarking to publish your articles after posted is huge.

Hub pages help to get high quality links to your website. The only thing is that you should increase your ranking inorder to get profile points that will provide you with do-follow links.

Hubpages is part of a comprehensive link building strategy. Easy to use, and pages can rank quite well. I have made numerous sales from traffic from Hubpages, mainly a review of a product. I have one hub that has been on page one for a buying keyword for the past 5 or 6 months - ranks better than the keyword exact match domain that I own. So the site has Big Authority that helps on many occasions.

Another hub I have gets 100-200 visitors each and every week (about 5 x the traffic than my next highest hub) That one ranks for a range of terms. Sends a bit of trafic to my lead capture page.

All in all Hub is a great place to publish. And of course there is the revenue share of adsense and amazon - you might earn an extra $1.50 a month!!

The links are do follow after your Hubscore is over 75 (I think).

Note there is a recent suit where google is charging the bing is copying their search results.

The link from Hubpages becomes do-follow once your author hubscore is over 75 and the individual hub's score is over 40.

How do you get your author hubscore up? Simple, just write a new hub that is over 1000 words on a non-commercial topic - a hobby, or the history of your town or something else of interest that is completely non-commercial. Then go and post in the forums for a bit and visit other people's hubs and leave comments.

Your author score should rise, your links will turn do-follow, and then you can make additional hubs on commercial stuff linking to your own sites (don't overdo it though as they frown on "overly promotional accounts" - so for every four hubs you make linking to your own stuff, make at least one decent quality non-commercial hub).

I love hubpages - the domain is very strong, and it's easy to rank the hubs (and you make money from them), plus it's easy to build them up to a point where your hubs get pagerank in their own right, which means links from them to your site become powerful.

Like everything, if you put in the effort, you get a pretty decent reward.

To SEO Chief - Thanks for the information. I'm going to try BraveNet. I have a relatively new site and am just trying to get ranked for some small keywords. Do you have any other suggestions?

Regards -
Chris

Hubpages is very good. All you have to do is to post content which are not duplicate. It will become do follow when your score hits 75 if I am not wrong.

I would say if you are looking just for backlinks, HubPages may not be the best option

However, for traffic and Google rank, HubPages will get you there without much effort on your part. If you are looking for residual income from the articles themselves, this is a good site for revenue sharing - you won't get rich, but you will earn some money with quality articles.

Lastly, nofollow is just a search engine thing - you can still get people to your sites if you write good content. There are many ways to use HubPages - just another thing to put in your tool belt.

Tired of paying for low-quality writing? If you care about your reputation, get Professional Writing Services for your business needs.

If you can not afford to pay for unique content, why not get limited PLR articles for your website?
