Default Yet another would-be Google killer - but this one might interest you

I came across a write up of this new search engine blekko | slashtag search in an offline computer mag. I think it's been bankrolled by the... Netscape guy, what's his name. I am not affiliated in any way, and though I doubt it is going to be slaying Google yet, I just thought there were some interesting features, in particular the 'slashtags', which yield different results depending on which you add.

Try searching on:

Code:
http://mysite.com /seo
There are a few interesting things that come up. One is a list of all the domains that are cohosted with that one - I have never seen a tool that did that before (though maybe they are out there), I was really intrigued to see all the sites that are on the same server as mine!

You can also see a list of inbound links which might be interesting to compare with YSE.

Also, try this one:

/adsense=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx - replacing the xxxx's with your Adsense publisher ID, but without the 'pub-'. It throws up all the sites it's found with the same ID on. I know there are paid services out there for this (Whorush?) but this is the first free one, and though it hasn't found them all (yet), Whorush doesn't list them all either. And it's another tool in the arsenal for spying on your competitors' online real estate (though they can do it back of course).

There are a loads more interesting features, but those are the main SEO ones I found - could be handy.

It's not a new search engine. It's a few months old. And it's done
nothing to google. It got some hype, but then hyped out quick.
As all the rest. Will it still have searchers? Sure. But it's a drop
in the bucket. Not even a drop.

Oh, you're ahead of me then, that's what I get for relying on offline media . Well, I agree in that respect. Kind of a waste of $24 million in investment capital - you know, hungry people in Africa and all that - I presume it will go the same way as Cuil, Hakia, Clusty, Redz and goodness knows what others.

But I thought the SEO tools were an interesting slant for people here on the forum.
