What Happens When a Negative Keyword is In Your Keyword List?

For example:

negative keyword: golf
keyword list has the keyword: young child's golf club

I'm guessing "young child's golf club" doesn't trigger the ad because the negative keyword overrides it?

That's pretty much how it works.

Any thing you add as a negative keyword will not trigger an ad to show for a search phrase containing that work.

Usually you want to look at things like "free" or "tips" used when people aren't at the buying stage yet.

Thats right!!
keyword: "young child's golf club" is not showing up because you have included "golf" in negetive keyword list.
