First Adsense Click - Added hope and motivation...

I started learning about SEO in December and decided to start experimenting with it in my spare time (which I haven't had a lot of). Specifically, I decided to start experimenting with micro niche sites. Not knowing a whole lot about what I was doing, I researched 4 niches and over the last week of December and the month of January, I set up 4 sites. Some are more finished than the others. The first one is focused on the Amazon affiliate program and I have earned about $20-25 there so far.

About a week ago, I added adsense to one of my sites (the other two are still not monetized). This site is still not ranking very high in Google yet - in fact, I don't think it is consistently on the first page for any of it's terms yet, but is on the second page for several and has been temporarily on the first for one or two.

Anyway, yesterday I received my first click on Adsense. Considering the fact that I don't see any problem boosting its rankings in the coming weeks, I am very happy with this. I am also happy with the CPC I received. I was not sure how accurate my estimates would be. I'm also not sure what the policies are as far as sharing CPC, but it was north of $1.50

Anyway, just wanted to share with anyone who is still struggling to get any clicks or is just starting out.

I'm excited to see what will happen as I should have more time to work on my ranking in the coming weeks... This also motivates me to get my other sites to a point where I'm comfortable monetizing them...

Oh I intend to! I really plan to ramp things up in the coming months (assuming everything else in life goes according to plan).
