Default Exact match numbers, CB gravity and online website creation

Hi all,

Long time first time. Great forum.

So what is the security formula for IM success? Haha just kidding.

A few questions for those with more experience than I:

- I've found a Googe traffic exact phrase with 3000 searches per month. Is this worth my time? Exact searches return way less than phrase or even broad searches (duh) but does anyone here work on a campaign with a 3000 give or take number?

- I'm going to target it to a Clickbank product with over 200 gravity (not directly, indirectly). Assuming higher gravity is always good being aware of competition out there?

- I'm not a website designer. I typically pay $2000+ per website but that's for content I create. With this I want to test the waters a bit - what's the best online website creator I could use with my own domain? Wix looks good, but will all that flash rank at all? I prefer Wordpress.

Any and all thoughts so totally welcome!

Have a great day folks - it's Friday (well, Friday in my neck of the woods).

Only you can judge this. It would be worth my time, though (other, more important things about it being acceptable).

Many people here will work with numbers far smaller than that.

Rather you than I, but good luck.

We have very different views of "gravity", it seems.

I can't help wondering whether this post will interest you?

And if that one doesn't interest you, I can't help wondering whether this one might interest you instead?

But maybe not ...

Call me a skepchick, but to me, that would certainly be a reason to keep away. Quite apart from the entirely valid SEO considerations, I also know that to a lot of my potential customers "loads easily/quickly with a dial-up connection and a 5-year-old computer" is just as important as "looks good".

Here also ... in some places it's Saturday already. Some people are just in such a hurry for the weekend ...

Edited to add: just noticed the above was your very first post, so welcome to the forum!

This is for sure.

With or without the "too".

High gravity doesn't mean that anyone's getting a lot of sales. As explained here and in countless other threads, gravity doesn't measure sales.

Thanks so much! I'm sold - gravity is OUT!

I hadn't considered that everyone is not on super high speed connections. I'll try a more basic site and see how it goes.

Good to hear that 3000 exact searches could have potential.

I have to use a .biz but I've seen enough threads to conclude that it doesn't matter much for SEO, just people's perceptions.

And the potential for loss of type-in traffic to the owner of the .com (usually). And future resale value of the site (because of potential purchasers' perceptions) ... I'm "just saying" ... (but for SEO, yes - you're quite right: it makes no difference).

(I prefer .info to .biz, myself, but that's another matter).

How much potential may depend on your assessment of the top few sites ranking for the "main keywords" ... don't forget, you need either to dislodge some of them through your SEO efforts, or get your traffic through non-SEO-dependent ways, or rank for other (longer-tail?) keywords instead.

Thanks! The very weird thing is that after an allinurl search there are *no* competing websites with the terms in the main url at all. I checked and the .com, .org, etc., are just sitting for sale at buy domains and elsewhere.

People are squatting on these terms when they could be making money with them.
