Default Adwords issues

Ok so, I followed an advert from adsense to adwords saying I'd get 100$ free credit, but I haven't gotten any credit at all. My site is new and I can't even spend the credit's I paid for since my quality score is currently 1/10? How do I improve my quality score on a new site (blog less than a month old) and what do I have to do to get the 100$ free I was promised? This is the first time I have ever opened an adwords account.

If I remember, there was a special order in which you had to claim the credit. I could be wrong on that though. It's been a long time.

As for the low quality score, site age is not relevant. Most of my landing pages are QS 6+ with a few 8+. They key to decent QS is to include content that the AdWords team is looking for and to carefully choose keywords to target so they match as closely as possible the content on your landing pages. CTR, of course, also begins to play a role once your campaigns are live.

Building an AdWords-compliant site takes a bit of work. I talk about many of these exact issues in my free eBook in my signature below.

My keywords were my exact match domain name, I think did something wrong since I retried it and apparently it's okay now?

I prefer not to use exact match domains for AdWords campaigns.

A QS of 1 only means one thing: you are not following one or more of the Adwords policies. This should be confirmed by a "poor landing page quality" score on the keyword status. You need to fix whatever rule you are breaking and resubmit.

You are why I tell people who have no idea and are just itching to
use some free adwords coupon/voucher/whatever. It is not for
the faint of heart. If you don't have the time or money to read
all the rules, and test, test, test, then don't even bother.

Nobody here has seen your site. Even if we did, it would be pure
speculation. Your first QS is mostly by human. After that, it's
all about CTR.

Google does make all the info you need available.

If you are serious about using adwords, hire a warrior. Plenty of
them know what they are doing.

If that's not feasible, then you should think seriously about just
forgetting the $100 credit. The $100 is just a come-on. They
expect you to be a long term customer, spending much, much more.

If your sites are only monetized by adsense, they will most likely
never be approved. You can have adsense on adwords pages, but
it must be on a page that is monetized mostly by something else.

Paul is spot on. You really need to read and understand the TOS before jumping into AdWords. It certainly is not for the novice unless you have some guidance.
