Article Directory or Directory Submission? Im confused!

Does anyone can tell me about this?

I know article directory where you can create your article and submit it example ezine articles.

When it comes to directory submission well, I guess you have to submit.

Well, so.. can you tell me some list of directory submission?

Kinda bit hanging in here. It's just like they both lead the same way.

an Article Directory is where you publish an article e.g Ezine, GoArticles

Directory Submission is the process by which you submit your site to web directories that are associated to your website. e.g. DMOZ

There are a ton of directory lists out there. There are also directory review sites like Directory Critic » Directory Lists, Article Directory Lists, Link Building, Directory Templates & Resources.

Well with directory submission the only difference is that you are only required to submit your URL or website to various authority websites that have quite a good page ranking with search engines like google, yahoo, bing, etc. So only your Website or URL is required.

Article directory is the place where you submit your articles like- ezinearicles.com, articledirectory.com etc.

Directory Submission means such place where you've to submit your site links for being indexed on that directory list like- ezilon.com, business.com etc.

I would not submit to directories by yourself, use some paid service to do it. I see benefit from directory submissions but I would never do it by myself. I a cheap program I found to do so that helped my rankings is sliq submitter plus.

Well, article submission would give you both, back links and targeted traffic while directory submission is only for links.
