I have two sites with nearly identical names - one is simply the plural of the first. Both sites started about three months ago. All original content, but obviously the same subject matter. They have both generically bounced around at position #10-15 for their EMD keyword. However, they have been dancing regularly and dropping to 500-600 for a couple weeks at a time. When one drops like this the other generally comes back to 10-15 on the same day, and vice versa. In other words they seem to dance alternately. My question is: What are the issues with having two domains so similar and on the same shared hosting account and same IP address? Would I be better to dump one of the domains and do a redirect to the other? Any other suggestions? Thanks. |
