About to pull the trigger on really developing a new site in terms of SEO. Can't decide what would be more powerful. I've built up some content on my own and even spun those off into a few articles which I've submitted to Ezines, Go articles, etc, but want to really ramp up. SEO Experts: 1) Which is more powerful in one-off form, in your opinion -
Let me know your thoughts on this, first off. 2) I would definitely [eventually] take the time to rewrite the articles on my site and submit those to article directories and bookmarking sites and social sites as 250-word excerpts, afterward, but that's REALLY time consuming and I work 100 hours a week at my day job. Thoughts, pointers? 3) Any recommended services / tools for this? (ODesk / Elance / vWorker have already been used; really tough to find a quality VA, by the way...) Thanks! |

IMO, spending the money on back links to improve pages that are already ranking may be more of a bang for the buck initially. I know I spent $200 on articles (one time) and although the articles were a nice read and well written, I think it would have been better spend on building back links. Just my .02.

Both are important. You need backlings to publicise your sits and you will need the good content to retain the visitors, and making them come back again and again.

I'd take the links, but with $500 I bet you could buy some great WSO's that would make your link building efforts more enterprising |

Articles without a doubt. You get back links and traffic. If you got about 100 articles and you have a pretty decent niche, you will own your niche.

In my opinion it's a good idea to outsource both. For SEO purposes, I've seen results from backlinks and it's a greater outcome for myself in that sense. You still want to do articles but I would have to pick backlinks first, as long as you've got your on pages optimized for basic seo 101. 2) You're right. I was in the same boat until I figured out a way to outsource the work and double the return on my investment every time, and.... I didn't even have to do any of the work! ![]() 3) Yes, you named them but it's really not that easy. You have to do more than just posting to find affordable and experienced people who to work for you | |
