Default Paranoid About Being Deindexed.

I am so paranoid about being deindexed.

Sadly, I am a person who has an income that is dependant on top G rankings.

However, I do feel that my site provides the best content and product in my tiny obscure niche.

And it has great backlinks.. and I am sure its quite viral because the site is bizarre and just... odd.

But the site i have is a hard-core sales pitch. it has hundreds of pages on the site, and its NOT an affiliate product -- its my own product.

But is it really true some person from G can just deindex it if they do not like it?

I mean, I am sure it is, but is it likely?

Ugh ..

If you've got decent, informative content and it's your own product, why in the world would you be worried about being deindexed? If you think that way, you'll never sleep at night.

There's no guarantee that you'll have your next breath, let alone what Google may or may not do. Shake yourself and get out of that mindset or you'll go crazy. Look forward and not behind. There is NO one on this, or any other forum that can answer your question with any certainty whatsoever.

People here think that way for one reason: They hang out in a forum
that gets filled with whiners who got deindexed. So, they think it happens
to everybody and anybody for no reason, out of the blue.

And sooner or later, it will happen to them. Just because.

It doesn't work that way. Relax. If you are following all google webmaster guidelines,
especially what not to do, no problem. Hint: Most people who build normal
websites would not even have a clue to do something that is a complete
no-no.

There is no reason to be paranoid.

Paul

You will be fine, I doubt you will need to worry about that. Something to worry about though is you being dependent on google. Start collecting those email addresses, and come up with a way to get other traffic!

I agree 100%!

You should spend some time working on new sources of traffic.

Google is great for traffic, but they are far from being the only source of free traffic.

I would never let Google be more than 50% (max) of my traffic, just wouldn't happen.

Example:
If my product was geared towards young adults in college, I would be hanging out in forums that these people frequent.

Establish yourself in related niche forums, don't spam, & build solid trust. They will spread the word for you about your product If the product is good & fills a need.

Agreed...and I also wouldn't rely on one website. You don't need 100s of microsites, but having all of your internet eggs in one site basket is a bad idea.

Well thanks guys, but I realized years ago that I should rely on other income streams and I've been working on it -- daily - ever since. I do have some other streams but this one in particular does my best.
