Secret Algorithm? I've wondered about this and if this is a determining factor in taking a website to the top of a competitive keyword. Thoughts?

In other words, I'm asking if a website has its name trademarked does that give it an upper hand against those who don't? Just the same as with lengthy domain registration, yahoo/dmoz directory inclusion, etc. I don't think I ever heard anyone mention this, but it makes you wonder given the fact that Google takes hundreds of factors into account for their secret algorithm. |
