Default Is It Advisable To Do This?

I have a 4-year old static website that is doing pretty well. However, I find updating the website a troublesome chore because I will need to use Dreamweaver to make a new page then edit the existing page to place a link.

I wonder whether I could install a WP at a subfolder :
http://mydomain.com/blog/

Then from now onwards, I can post all articles to the WP blog without making any updates to the static website.

Do you think it is advisable to do so?

Thanks!
Rick

Hi Rick,

That is exactly what I would do.

It will make it easy to post new articles and won't interfere with your current rankings. Just add a navigation link to your home page and be sure to do interlinking of pages where it makes since to do so.

Yes. In fact I did the same thing with an older site of mine. I simply left up the established articles and setup a blog. I actually installed mine in the home folder though and created a static home page leaving all previous articles untouched.
