Do Angela's methods result in relevant backlinks or are we stuffing forum profiles and the like with unrelated links? I know it's only $5 but that sales page looks like a child designed it back in 1999.

FYI if you are trying to promote a product or website you really have feelings for or you want it to last long term, don't try to get so much backlinks within such a short of time.
Google can easily notice this pattern, and will give you a -30 penalty for this. However, they might not, because then I could just boost my competitors backlinks to push them back. Either way, good advice. |

Yes, but as far as onpage optimization goes, having a good site structure also helps alot. A good silo structure to your site will help the search engines determine what your site is about.

Daniel,
Where can I get the social bot. Also, I'm building a website and each page is a different keyword, can I submit each keyword page to social bot and freewebsubmission.com or do I have to just submit the website? |

just my 2cents... yahoo definately puts more emphasis on keyword rich domains, check for yourself and look at the results.
additionally using socialbookmarking will help get you indexed very quickly, (indexed not ranked that is) in fact its quicker than actually submitting your site to google! ![]() there are much quicker and simpler methods for ranking #1 on google but it just depends on what key terms your going for. |

Gee...Thanks Daniel!
After finding your original keyword research thread and going through every single page and reading all the responses..I then spent the better part of two hours (Could even be 3...I don't know!) reading every other thread that was linked in that one particular thread! :-0 However, I can say that your posts provided even more insight into Article Marketing, SEO, Backlinking, etc., etc., then I had known about before I started reading! I need to find a way to subscribe to you so anytime you start a new thread, I get notified about it, because I can't believe I missed every single one of these when you first posted them! DOH! Thanks for sharing your knowledge, insight and a few references here and there! Much appreciate it! Ray |

Nice advice and it is quite impressive you managed to rank that highly for a term with as many as 11,000,000 competing sites.

Hi Molano
Marvelous thread, great simple book, very helpful and useful, and I will even go as far, why didn't anyone say this before. If I may say, they don't want to be famous ![]() I have questions, because I'm not completely out of the hell yet, so hopefully you can clarify a few things, so I can understand this better. 1. quotation marks, I didn't know that!!, and I have to ask, you do mean 500k below with quotation marks around your keyword right? How much is a descent search for you?, yesterday I found one keyword after another with 22k-2,7m searches a month using the google keyword tool, it was very famous niches . Should I use only one keyword phrase or could I combine keywords, whats your view on that? and if yes, how many is good?.2. Well I'm confusing myself here, probably my english is lacking sometimes, what is google 3-5 sources mean? and when you say do some research about a keyword, can you explain what you do? in easy words please. You say start writing as its the easiest thing to do , would I benefit from contacting a writer? or would that be a problem because his name will be in the ressource field? article atleast 500 words sounds like terrorism . Ok have I understood this right, I goto ezinearticles to write my article, and put my niche site I want to promote link into the ressource area? and with anchor text?what is the purpose exactly with ezine? is it other webmaster grabbing the article? if yes can I then still use it on my promotion site? Articles is the hardest part for me right now, so is there analternative to this method, can I go out and buy a keyword optimized article with the same result? call to action= link or anchor? make a summary/excerpt is it a part of the 500 words? and where do I put that?so when article is finished I submit it to ezine? 3. So when you say backlink, you point to 2 people, but I was thinking of using social bookmarking, what do you think? and perhaps videos? one thing that i'm a little confused about is tags, does tags means other keywords related to the main keyword? if no how do you find these tags? will these get me more searches? build backlinks slowly is to sustain the rankings, you won't get sandboxed, you said, does that mean I have to do more to keep myself up there? , write more articles or what or is there another way? I would like to use your method and stay up there, and I would like to spit out many niches when I start this, perhaps related to the main niche, can I do this and exspect it to go auto, or do I need to do something else? Puhh!, terrible sorry I'm new, but even worse my english get confused with some of the words used in this industry, thats why I ask so intensely, I hope you are ok with that. I truely found easily using 30 minutes, well maybe an hour 73 keyword phrases on 6 different subjects yesterday, they range from searches between a rarely 12- 2.7m in a month, the 2.7m one have 156k competition and is something that have interest as well. anyway thank you for this great short book, your a legend I hope to hear from you. sincerely nicheprince |

Thanks for the comments, I think I like "Legend" better than "Guru"... ![]() Here are the answers to all of your questions: 1. You should only use 1 keyword phrase per page or article, below 500,000 competition under quotes and with anything over 300 monthly searches, the more searches the better it is. Then just follow the steps in the free WSO report to make it rank. 2. Yes you can outsource the content creation following those precise guidelines. When I say Google 3-5 sources, I mean do some research on the keyword you want to rank for so that you can start writing about it. 3. Only those backlinks suggested within the report will give you guaranteed rankings, social bookmarking won't. Don't worry about tags unless you are using a blogging platform like Wordpress. There are no tags in the article directory. And yes it will go on autopilot once you complete the number of backlinks mentioned per article. Have fun, Dan Molano

"Guru" is now, "Legend" is forever
![]() Thanks for the answers, I am still a little troubled, but not as much, so hear goes again. I read somewhere social bookmarking is a good tool to use, due to there high pr's, can you explain to me why you think I should forget about it? What's so special about Angela's & Paul's links? is there a way I can build up links myself? what about video? Also I read in this forum, that someone ranked after 18 minutes in 4.position, He had his main keyword, and then he researched the top 10 listing for his keyword, and found all there main words and incorporated them in his article. Sounds clever to me. It should be tested Great thread this, later sincerely nicheprince |

I never said to drop Social Bookmarking, it's good. But those backlinks are better because all of them are of extremely high PR. And yes, of course you can find them yourself, but they already give them to you so that you don't have to bother. It's not so easy to find a lot of PR3-10 backlinks, do follow and that you can anchor text. Video directory backlinks, press release backlinks, article directory backlinks are all good, as long as the sites are of authority. Ranking #4 for a competitive keyword with high monthly searches is not likely to happen, it was probably an easy keyword or a keyword that no one was searching for. Or they got some Google love from the new/fresh content factor, but those rankings will drop without sustaining them. Hope that helps, Dan

Thanks for the great information, it was very useful.
Can anyone tell me the best method to check how many backlinks exist to your site and where they come from? I have used Google Webmaster Tools and Yahoo Site Explorer for this, but both give me different results. Which one is correct or is there a more accurate tool I could use? When I check my site in the Google Webmaster tools, I have 300+ links listed, but around 75% of them are from blogcatalog.com. Many sites that I am confident I have links from are not listed at all. Is having so many backlinks from a single site detrimental? I am assuming that Google won't treat them all as individual links for the purpose of ranking my site? Thank! |

Just from my little experience (which yes is a little, feel free to
bark back) it would seem that it would be very unique to be #1 on all top engines. Google has a very specific way of ranking sites. Yahoo seems to be more liberal. MSN, maybe a mix of the two. Now we have bing-oh! I tried to see if anyone in this thread could give an example of a real site (not news, etc) that does rank #1 for some real keywords. (real meaning not a gobbledey gook nonsense that would be site specific). Does anyone here have such a site? Example, pizza recipes. Doing a search for pizza recipes would yield the #1 spot on all the biggies. One of my sites ranks #1 on google for 3 keywords. But it is not even in the top 300 or so last time I checked on yahoo. It would seem that if one does what is needed for google, then it is a toss up whether or not the other engines even list it. At least, that's been my experience. I also get very different results on most searches (except for wikipedia. I should have tossed that in as one to ignore as well). In fact, wikipedia is one of the few that I can think of that all search engines like. Duplicate that and you got something. I can't remember the product, but about 5 years ago there was someone bragging they got "car wax" as #1 on most everything. That site also bragged they could do the same for you. Paul |

I have "business consulting" #3 on Google, #13 on Bing and page 11 on Yahoo. I hate Yahoo, I haven't been able to crack them. Although for low competition keywords, Yahoo seems to be the easiest. Nevertheless that's pretty much irrelevant, all you need is top 5 in Google to bring in massive traffic. That keyword has over 40,000,000 competing sites, over 5,000,000 under quotes and over 300,000 monthly searches according to the Google Keyword Tool. That keyword alone made me over $120,000 net profit in May 2009. Rankings for such "impossible" keywords is where the money is, and yes of course my business consulting is in large part about how to achieve that. - Dan

That it may be possible, and that trick would be massive traffic, but not sure if was needed or even a possibility. If you do any SEO worth a darn, you are bound to rank somehow, somewhere. But shooting for google seems to be the gold standard, and getting #1 on yahoo is gravy, but better to put efforts into google. And reiterating that by doing that, you can't help but get something out of yahoo and the others. I'd like to see someone who ranks #1 on at least 3 for some decent keywords at the same time. How about this, ranking #1 on 3 search engines, for the same keywords, but not necessarily the same site? That actually may be more plausible. That is, all sites would be owned by the same person. It has to do with the authority of the backlinks, regardless of relevance. A PageRank 8 backlink coming from a site talking about stamp collecting, pointing towards your weight loss site is by far more powerful than a PageRank 5 backlink coming from another weight loss site.
