Hi all, I would like to know what kind of Click Through Rates (CTRs), on average, could I expect to recieve on my website, if I am using the 336x280 Adsense ad unit? |

Noone can tell you this. It depends on the market. Some of my markets I get a 2% ctr and others get up to 20% using the exact same layout (slight theme changes but nothing drastic).

Depending on your placement and how related your page is to the ads being displaying, you can easily get 5-15%.

It all depends on the niche/keywords. but 36x280 is one of high performing ad sizes. You need good ad placements, and make sure the ads blend with the site content

The 336x280 ad unit will be imbedded to the left of the content articles, and centered below each article, just before the comments section.

Your CTR rates will depend on: your niche, where your visitors come from, how relevant the ads are, ad placement, etc. Normally, 5-15% CTR is easy to achieve. Anything above 15% is going to require some testing (unless your website in nothing but Adsense ad blocks, in which case - good luck...). | |
