using a .biz for a commercial niche site

does it affect your SEO if you use a .biz for a registered niche site?
I discovered a niche last week and .biz was the only domain available for the "exact keyword" which I gladly chose.

Now what I am reading this days is very confusing, some gurus say it's not relevant to search engine ranking, some say it is.

Can someone help me clarify this.

I believe it doesn't effect your search engine rankings, from my own experience you can rank with .info .org, other country domains and compete with .com no problem.

Just .biz might not look so common to people like .com does, it's harder to memorize your domain name, and they can't use fast-url-entering (ctrl enter)
