I check the rank of all my sites and articles today. All of my articles writen on articlesbase.com Droped their rank. They were all on #1 to #9 first page yestarday. Has anyone got same thing as me?

Did you guys backlink to your articles? If it was forum profiles, it *seems* like google does recognize this type of backlink spam better now.

Me three! Not just articlesbase guys, but I see a few EzineArticles and other 'authority sites' too gone down. Some kind of Google update I suppose

that's not possible. For you to get a 'neutral effect' from profiles and blog spam is one thing but for you to get a 'negative effect', it is impossible. If anybody thinks I'm wrong, please let me know so that I can start building spam links to all my competitors

but is it still worth submitting articles to ArticlBase?

75% of my articles have dropped, resulting in a massive drop of traffic to my site!

Personally I still quite like Articles Base.

It's quicker to approve and it gets syndicated. OK, often by scraper blogs but they still get indexed (do a search for one of your titles in quotes).

Just make sure to include a link in the actual article as a lot of the scrapers I've come across scrub links from the resource box but tend to leave links inside the article alone.

Try to revise your article but make sure the concept and the main idea remains.

i believe this is due to the Farmer Update in the Google Algo which was just done recently .. Websites that have original content and update regularly will be favored more over these article sites.

I would still submit to these directories but make sure you have new content update on your blog or site regularly as well. I'm doing seo for our site MoverJunction.com and started by submitting articles to a few directories .. but with this update, i'm looking to give more importance to on-site content building.
