I am setting up some Amazon affiliate sites and just getting starting on generating some traffic and trying to get them on the first page of Google. The sites are exact keyword match domains with plenty of monthly searches and weak competion. When I start building backlinks on forum profiles, posts, blog comments, etc should I mostly link directly to the root domain or the product review pages? Also, for traffic and rankings, what are the most effective methods? Many of the methods take a lot of time, so I want to make sure I get the most value. Article Submission Hubpages Squidoo Blogger.com sites Forum posting Forum profiles Paid directory submissions others ? Should I consider buying a edu/gov backlink package on Fiverr.com or will Google penalize me for that? |

1.) Definitely backlink your inner pages. They will rank higher for their target keywords and the seo juice will naturally transfer to the domain as well so you get to kill 2 birds with 1 stone. 2.) This all depends on your abilities, knowledge and budget. If you own tools to automate the process, then use those obviously or outsource backlink creation totally. I'm obviously biased as to what the most cost and time effective solution would be, so I'm not gonna suggest anything here. 3.) Yes, edu/gov links help, as does any other kind of link diversity. No, you won't be penalized for it or any other type of link for that matter (just stay clear from paid links though). |

The only reason I say that is because until you truly understand SEO, you are not going to have much luck and will most likely get frustrated and quit. I currently have a free link building WSO that will answer most of your questions. (and more importantly you can trust the info) Be careful out there, there are a lot of people who pretend to know what they are talking about.
