Will these backlinks count in article marketing?

In the past 2 months I have written about 30 articles for getting backlinks. I submitted them to ArticlesBase. Recently I realized that their website is nofollow links.

So I want to remove all my articles from ArticlesBase and move them to another article marketing site.

I'm wondering if the backlinks will count on the new site that I move my articles to because my articles already existed on ArticlesBase before. Will they be counted as "duplicates" by Google?

First of all I would not be concerned about dofollow and nofollow tags. I don't think they hold as much importance as most people make out and you will find a lot of SEO professionals agree with me on this one.

Second of all, why do you have to delete those original articles? They would already have been indexed by Google so whether you delete them from that site or not, Google would already know that the content has been posted elsewhere.

It does not matter though. Duplicate content is having the exact same content on the same website. What you are talking about is putting your same articles on various different article websites. This is called syndication and is perfectly ok with Google.

Great hearing about your questions about backlinks. I myself was able to get any kind of backlinks to one page on my site for a high competing search term and determined that it didn't make a difference whether they were no follow or do follow.
