Default Longtail keywords and domains...Can anyone help?

Hey everyone

I have found a longtail keyword that only has 5,500 competing pages and gets 590 searches per month but the keyword is too long to have as a domain. So i was wondering if it would be an option to buy two domains. One that is brandable and easy to remember for site users and another which will be my longtail keyword.

I won't actually put any content on the first or very minimal if i do and I'll have it redirect to my longtail keyworded domain.

Hope i have explained this clearly. Question is; would this work for seo purposes?

Thanks

kerry

If you have to rely on the URL in order to rank, you are not going to succeed.

Create useful content, build links, optimize your title tags and you should be fine.

it is a general rule that a search phrase receive a minimum of 2400 searches a month to be worth the time and effort as the main keyword in the domain..so i dont no man...you might want to consider maybe something different. it it is a "high" value phrase that could change things.

good luck!

That's a fail strategy right there.

You'll rank for few days, but the competition will take over.

Start working with one domain, content and quality links.
