Hi, If i am targeting keywords for Adsense and the Google Keyword tool gives for example : Keyword A, 2000 exact searches per month. Broad CPC $0.05 Exact CPC $1.00 Phrase CPC $0.05 Should i target that keyword because of the value of the exact search ? Or do the other 2 nominal values make it a no. Any insight into this is greatly appreciated because im not sure how this works. Ads |

Hi Ads, I would go with the highest paying CPC and the exact keyword if the competition isn't too strong. Using the exact keyword should bring you targeted visitors looking for more specific info. Consider that with the CPCs of $0.05 vs. $1.00, you would need 20 visitors clicking on the ad paying $0.05 vs. 1 visitor clicking on the CPC ad of $1.00. And if you factor in the CTR, you would need a heckuva lot more visitors for the broad and phrase match. Hope this helps. |

Always check Exact as its the proper number. If you're going to build a micro niche adsense website, 2000+ Exact and $1+ CPC is a pretty good number. Don't forget to check the competition too! |

There are so many factors that you should just go for it anyway if it fits into your site. The reason being that even though the CPC is so diverse between broad and exact match for that keyword you will still earn money from it. Just a few of the factors involved in what you get paid for a click are based on the advertiser's bid, the share Google give you, the ad may not even be triggered by the keyword (doubleclick dart cookie).. Just go for it, the important thing is that you rank well for that keyword and bring in traffic. The income will look after itself. Quote:
