This is apples and oranges. One is no better than the other...that is, unless you treat FB like a traditional advertising platform, which is where 99% of people go about this 110% wrong. FB is social media. No, people aren't there to buy....but let's be honest. EVERYONE buys stuff. Everyone. People don't suddenly stop being consumers just because they're on FB, they're just not in shopping mode...that's why you need a different approach. Use PPC to get the "like," then you've got a way to market to them. Problem is, most people use their FB wall like a billboard, posting offers and hoping people will buy....is it any mystery when they don't buy? It's not because they're not buyers, it's because people don't buy on FB like they do on Google adwords. You have to show interest in them, get to know them. Post real information and conversational threads rather than blatant invitations to webinars. I could go on but the bottom line is that FB PPC and adwords are completely different types of marketing channels. If you treat them both the same, ignoring the social component of FB, of course adwords is going to be far superior. |

Facebook is a little harder to master than traditional PPC models, but that said some folks are able to turn a profit

I was having 2 campaigns on FB and Adwords running at the same time for my local F i v e r r Clone RESULTS: FB +400 fans for my page - few members joined the site Adwords: Members were signing like a water fall Conclusion: Mix a campaign of both but with a ratio of 70:30 for your budget in favor of Adwords to get the benefit of both tools |

You may also try microsoft ad center. They are great also. They will put your ad on bing and yahoo search results.

I use both and Adwords was much better, but...now the website is placed before the ad on Google then why use Adwords anymore? If you can promote your site well then you dont need Adwords
