1 Word .info ?

I have an opportunity to buy a very competitive 1 word .info, should I fork up the cash? It goes for about 1k. Thoughts?

Is it just a bare domain or an existing site + domain? If it's an existing site, is it ranking well for that word and getting a lot of organic traffic at that position in search results?

That's how I would make the decision. If you have learn or estimate how much traffic it's getting, you may be able to estimate your monthly cashflow from the site to understand if the price is reasonable.

I don't personally think the TLD makes any difference. I agree with physicalproductsguy, you need to check the organic traffic and try to estimate possible earning. That would be the way I'd go.

No site and no traffic. Just a 1 word competitive .info name.

if it cheap than it good idea to buy it,

however everyonce in a while they come up with new tld like dot co which are expensive so i dont know why people will pay a lot for dont info tld if at the same or similar price tehy will be able to get another new tld like dot co.

1K is big price for the domain. However I was wondering about the organic traffic you make from the SE. Since it is an info domain it may not be that fancy in the crowd. I think, it would cost not more than 100$.
