Default What does a site need to be accepted into google, bing, yahoo etc?

My site is www.inohoops.com its a site I made for a local basketball league I want to put some ads on it and test it after that ill build a site based on keywords for profit. I havent finished the site completely still missing a few pages (about me page) still adding more content teams rosters scripts for username password. Do i need to finish those pages and also have a site map to submit it, and is that it or is there more?

if you asking about to submit your site in google, yahoo , bing search engines then you can do it anytime. But to be approved in adsense you must require some criteria.

after checking your site i can say that google are not accepting these kind of sites in present days. Increase some contents, increase little traffice and then apply for adsense.

hope it helps.

You shouldn't need to submit to the search engines, just Digg it or similar social bookmarking site and get your friends to do the same. The search engines will find it automatically and index it.

As Parbat says you won't get approved for adsense without proper written content but nothing to stop you putting sportswear ads, etc on there.

Building a site is the LAST thing real marketers do.

They find the market and create a plan then they already know how to make money from it BEFORE they waste time building.

You don't "submit" a site anymore....maybe this was done 5 years ago..but its utterly pointless.

If you use a good platform like Wordpress, the post + ping which happens every time you post something new will automatically attract spiders so your site gets indexed.

What's good too is bookmarking and put some links to your site, maybe in your forum signature, facebook, twitter etc...this also helps sites to get indexed quick.

There is really now "requirement" to get a site "included in Google"....with the exception that it somehow would significantly be against their TOS, extremely spammy or having some penalty due the history of the domain. (Former owner did something bad with the domain etc.)

Just put content on there..and soon it will be indexed.

GeorgR is completely right - sites don't need 'submitting', Google's bots crawl the internet and when they see new content, they'll index it - adding it to the 'Google archive' - the more content you put on there, and the more traffic you get, the more often google will come back and search your site again for new content.

Get yourself some content on there - and your indexing process will speed up.
