hi all do you add the nofollow link to outgoing affiliate links? looking at my blogs i have an average of 20 outgoing affiliate links on my homepage and a few of my sites have succumb to being hit by google. i'm thinking it might be because of this (if so would nofollow cure it?). thanks |

Google still examines nofollows and will probably judge it an affiliate site, the common alternative is to cloak the link, often they are made to look like an internal link.

hmm, so i guess the best way to do this would be to cloak AND nofollow. any WP plugins that do this?

Using nofollow on affiliate links is good, but clocking the links is the best option.
