I'm thinking about developing a new product for people wanting to learn HDR photography. It's a niche within photography. According to Google's traffic estimator, there are around 50,000 global searches and 23,000 local (US) searches monthly on the phrase 'hdr photography'. Is there a rule of thumb on this? I don't want to waste time and money if the audience seems to be too small. 23,000 per month = 766 searches per day. That seems small. |

The competition may be tough however if yo can set yourself as the expert in the field and you have a passion for HDR Photography no reason why you cant succeed in that niche

It seems like this is a budding niche. I'd say if you know your stuff that it's a good time to establish yourself as an authority. It's a pretty good size and appears to be growing. Run your keywords through Google Insights to get a better picture. |
