Pingomatic vs RSS Feed

Hello Warriors,

Is RSS Feed and Pingomatic the same principle? My site has RSS feed on my blogs. Should I be using pingomatic as well?

Use Ping o matic to ping your RSS pheeds.

RSS is just a different format of your blog that makes it easy to read by other programs.

When you update your blog, Wordpress will autotically update your RSS pheed with some of the content you just posted on your blog.

You "ping" to tell RSS directories that your blog has been updated. But instead of trying to get the content directly from your blog, which may have all sorts of other stuff on it, these directorites use your RSS pheed instead.
