Default The latest Google change and how it effects AdSense

One of the HIGHEST paying Adsense keywords is "extended stay", and all derivations and long tails from it. Eg. "extended stay", "extended stay america", "extended stay hotels".

CPC over $200!

Anyway, so i was looking on Google and entered those keywords, and on 10+ pages (i didn't bother looking for more) there is not one single adsense page, instead there are sites like

holiday inn, ramada inn, marriot, expedia and heaps of such established hotel sites and not ONE single adsense or "crap" site.

I didnt check before the Google "farmer update", but given this is one of the highest paying adsense keywords EVER it was extremely surprising to see the result.

So did the recent update also have a significant impact on Adsense sites (shallow content etc....)? Means it will be extremely hard to find Adsense niches...respective i wouldnt be surprised if Google looked at its highest paying Adsense keywords in particular and weeded out the crap there too.

And here goes my dream of some "extended stay" adsense site - literaly impossible.

Just curious why would you monetize with adsense for a high paying keyword like that when you could use a CPA or other type of offer and get 2 or 3 times as much?

You dont think that $200 cost per click is a lot? What CPA offer would pay more than that?

No its a lot, its just that normally Ive found that adsense pays less than other offers. But adsense is easy and usually pays on time, just wanted to know why you would monetize with adsense.

As for why theres no adsense sites on top for that keyword, I would say a person would have to own a crazy network of high PR sites or be apart of an organization that does, or pay for those kind of links like the hotels are most likely doing.

You were never going to get a $200 click on an adsense site anyway. Folks, those CPCs you see in the keyword tool refers to search network CPCs, not content network.

Content network clicks are far less profitable than search network clicks.

Google algo or not, those hotel sites would always take top billing
for words like that. Too many people put their faith in parlor tricks
when talking about SERPs. I have never bought that idea. In
the real world, for what real people are searching for, most
often the sites that deserve to be there show up. Others can
only expect crumbs from longer tail keywords in a very narrow
niche. That's why people would by some domain like
extended-stay-hotel-bargains-by-the-ocean.com and expect to rule the niche,
and show proof by saying they rank #1 for extended stay hotel bargains near
the ocean. Yippee!
