I use the Super Adsense theme by Gobala Krishnan on a lot of my sites. It was made with SEO in mind, and it seriously could NOT be easier to mod!

I read somewhere that having your sidebar on the right instead of left of the page helps with SEO. One of many factors, of course.

One Theme is an incredible template. It's one of the premium types that you have to pay for, but it's just visually and functionally stunning.

I haven't tested it, but Mookinman is probably correct.

By having you sidebar on the right usually (not necessarily, it depends on how the theme is coded) that will mean it will load after your content, which is a good thing. You want the spiders to get to your content as soon as possible.

P.S. Thesis is good for a variety of reasons. It makes proper use of the header tags, and most theme designers really have no idea what they're doing.
