good news and bad news... good news is some of my blog sites have had considerable jumps in the alexia rankings in the last week. the bad news, some of my blogs are no longer ranked at all! here is my question...what would happen if i deleted all content including pages, post and categories from a blog, down to the domain name and started anew? the type of sites i am talking about were using mostly plr for content. also the sites i would like to start over have very little incoming links thanks for any help arnold55 |

If you start over again all Page rank you had will be lost and your best placed pages in Google would be lost.

Hi arnold55, There is no need to delete content. Google doesn't index or rank your "site" as a whole, they index and rank each URL (page) individually. Just start adding quality content and/or revise the existing content. Next time Google crawls your website it will find the new content and rank those pages accordingly. |

Interesting thread. I have been thinking for a while to MOVE my website to another server (I'm now under a multi user wordpress environment that belongs to some one else), one that I have all the control over. Does that mean that my ranking will be down quite a bit (even if the url stays the same)? thanks |
