Default PPC and CPA for a newb

Hey warriors, Im attempting to try a ppc campaign that is paired with a cpa offer because I have a $100 coupon for adwords. My niche target for this PPC endeavor is a product name thats a give away. My question though, is I dont see any other ppc ads being placed, with the exception of one. Is there a general rule when It comes to PPC ads and valuing how much it will be targeted
if there is no other ads? Right now, google keyword tool is stating that this term is 14k phrase searches per month, however theres not enough data to give me an exact number of searches per day, this is mostly caused by this new product being introduced to the public and google hasn't had enough time. Should I continue with this and see where it takes me? I have nothing to loose, seeing as I got this $100 for free lol.
