Damn', I know exactly how you can get 1199 backlinks. Are you sure you REALLY need 1200?!

But why 1200 precisely?! Because a competitor has that many? Why not try and get 30 backlinks on high-PR sites and put his 1200 feeble forum profile links or whatever to shame.

Not all links are created alike, you know that, right?

Use profile link building techniques to get a huge backlinks from it. But don't try to get backlinks fast because it might be spam.

Well, my personal preference would be a blog network or an article blast. They seem to work best for me, I think Google sees links embedded in content as being higher quality. As long as the content is high quality too.

Some people then pick up on their published articles' links and do a second blast of some kind, backlinking to those, to prop them up.

Just a suggestion, better than those crummy profile links in my book. If 1200 is your magic number

I don't know if anybody can answer this though: I posted articles and stuff online, and over the week-end I got over 60 backlinks, is this too much at once or not?

That's one of those things no-one can really tell you. People have different opinions. My feeling is that consistency has some importance, and if you are going to do 60 in one weekend, then you need to do 60 EVERY day, or the Google algo says, well, this was some flash-in-the-pan story, it's done it's time, let's push it back down now.

If I have the ability to do 60 good links I would rather spread them out over a few days or even weeks, because I am not bothered about getting to the top NOW (and then disappearing), I think slow and steady wins the race.

I know probably many would disagree so, hey, report back and TELL us what happened!

Well I had no idea that so many would come on at once, I have been doing this SEO stuff for the first time end January 2011 and this is the first time that the backlinks go up so much at once, usually I get 2 backlinks a day or something like that.

try to build backlinks manually in blogs and forum . If you create 1200 backlinks that doesnt mean that all will be indexed.

backlinks on higher pagerank are much valuable then numbers.

Getting 1200 backlinks is not that easy, you have to use different methods like directory submission, article writing, social bookmarking and any possible methods that will generate backlinks for your site.

I would use more time getting high quality links instead of 1200 fast low quality. Make sure to have a wide link strategy so you wont get hit by algo changes.

Getting back links is easy and cheap if you follow these guidlines.

1. Go to Fivver

2. search for article submissions or UAW or MAN or any of the article networks by name.

3. Take 3 articles and submit each to 1 person who will post on their MAN account, 1 who will do their UAW, one who will do all 3 in their own private blog network ect..

It will be easy to get 2,000 to 5,000 decent quality in text links that will drip in slowly over a month ect..

Then buy a packet of High ON PAGE pr links list and do them yourself manually. Or buy a list packet of do follow .EDU's ect.. and do those yourself.

You should see very good movement in the serps from this.

buy a link drip package that will slowly profile link them over time, and then build some web 2.0 pages with your links in them yourself while the profile links are on autopilot..

that should dramatically decrease the effort it will take on your part...
look for link drips that include PR profiles

Building to many links at once using software like Xrummer can have a negative effect on your search engine rankings, just speaking from past experiences, it just doesn't look natural to the search engines, that is just my opinion. I've had my best results building my links manually.

All the backlinks I have is from hard work I do not use or trust programs to do all that. I just submit articles, Do Forums and I also put the company on a few Directories which gave me quite a lot of backlinks.

Use everything like: forum posting, blog commenting, directory submission, article submission, linkwheel, social bookmarking, guest posting. Everything but in a timely and planned way. All this will takes some time to get indexed. But if you give some time and really you have to give as you have to do all the process manually, you can gain your required result. Whether it is 1200 links or high traffic or high pr whatever.
