Default Drupal users...HELP! Need advice!

I have been searching all over the web for the answer to this question. Are Drupal panels SEO friendly? For those of you that use Drupal's panels module to create pages, how does this work with duplicate content? When you make a panel page, isn't each panel considered to be a node within itself, and if that's the case, wouldn't a panel page consist of several nodes, each of which could be accessed through their own URL?

I would be eternally grateful to anyone who can help me answer this question. I am going to be taking on an SEO project where the entire website was made in panels.

thanks!
