This is pretty funny. First Google buys another web company beatthatquote (nothing unusual there). Google buys BeatThatQuote | Technology | guardian.co.uk Turns out that website had done it all - comment spam, PR link buying, doorway pages etc Google Being Spammers? Will Google Penalize Google for Google Spamming Google So it was forced to slap itself Google Bans Itself Again By Banning BeatThatQuote.com  |

It does raise some interesting questions such as - Did they check for violations of their own guidelines before they bought it? If they didn't , why not? If they did, why did they buy it and why didn't they slap it straight away? | |
