I'd like to get your opinions on the adwords tool new features.

I just noticed the changes with the average search volume and the "previous month search volume" -- I haven't done any keyword research in a long while, sue me. My question to you guys is... Is the Google adwords tool now more accurate than other paid keyword tools out there?

I'd assume the answer is yes, as the data is coming directly from google, meaning there is little guess work involved...... However, my assumptions aren't always right, so I thought I'd hear what you warriors thought about the new features before possibly turning my back on paid tools.

In addition to that... is there any tool that can collect googles new data and analyze it further. It's a big pain in the ass to check the competition for each and every keyword I find using their tool.

P.S. I know this isn't a "new" topic, but bear with me -- I just started doing my own keyword research again

    Hi Writingman1421,

It is my perception that their tool indeed has the most accurate data on Google's search network.

Keep in mind that it's worldwide traffic and its rounded off to the nearest hundred or so.

I haven't heard of any tool that uses the data as of yet, but it's probably just a matter of time. Google doesn't allow automated queries so that will be a major barrier to extracting data.

I have found that you can grab the keywords from the tool with a few clicks and paste them into a variety of other keyword analysis tools. It's still somewhat labor intensive.

When I have some spare time I'll look at the feasability of creating some custom tool for my own personal use. I let you know if I come up with something.
