Best url submission method

Hi all
Just wanted to ask what people use to submit a new site to google and other engines

I don't generally submit directly to the search engines - at least not as a first option. I use social media and article sharing sites like digg.com, stumbleupon.com, shetoldme.com, twitter and facebook, and particularly with Digg, I end up in google within hours. After that, I may manually submit to Yahoo and/or Bing, and I do go to DMOZ, but otherwise, Digg seems to get me where I need to be.

First of all submit your site to bookmarking sites like digg ,diggo, delicious. your site will get indexed by search engines.

Submitting to search engine is recommended when you site is still new.

I don't submit my site to any search engine unless I have made 50 manual back links for the site. If you are planning to submit in DMOZ then you must have a 6 month of domain age.

I am a firm believer in making a site and then doing the normal activities to get it spidered. I never actually directly submit it to the engines as I prefer that mine be found through links on the internet. I always do the usual of pinging, posting regularly, regular link trades, and from there you can do the stuff that most here do as well like article marketing etc to grow the site as far as incoming links are concerned.

I think link building is the great process rather than directly submitting your site to the search engine. Assemble a list of at least 25 high page ranked site on Google and build link. Either the site could be on forum posting, article directories or social media doesn't matter. You just need to submit your site url on that site to build link to get a familiarity.

You cannot submit directly to search engines. All you can do is to build links. There are certain methods on how to build links.
