[NO BULL] Spooky but true Google results!

Got a bit bored earlier, you know the sort of feeling when you have watched the new world record bare footed water skier at 153mph 10 times, you have drunk as much fat cola as you dare, your email box is full of the same old crap....

So had a look at a couple of *cheapo* clients simpleton websites we put up on a couple of our leased DN's...

These 3 sites are on 3 different ccTLD names

What we have NOT done:

They have had absolutely nill, nada, zilch, zero seo done
They have NEVER been submitted to any search engines
They have NEVER been pinged / tracked / mapped or even ponged!
NONE of them have any associated keywords / meta tags / site maps / H1 / Title tags

What we HAVE done:

Put each site on an exact match ccTLD domain name

I was pretty put out by this, so did a bit of digging to see if anyone from the clients businesses had emailed 1,000,000 people with an offer, joined a facebook / myspace / social site with 100,000 friends all going to the sites, paid Charlie Sheen to tweet about them!

The answer and the data said NO!

So why am I spooked and why is this so suprising? Well the sites are all LESS than a month old, would they have been indexed so quickly before the big G changed things recently with a bit of garden weeding, would they be there if we HAD of done any marketing!

Wow, a simple exact match domain name, wp install (no plugins), crappy theme (cheapo! we made) gets indexed...

So on to the real spooky bit....

All 3 sites are on PAGE #1 in position #1 for the 3 niche words they are in!

Maybe things are looking up after all!

By the way NONE of the businesses have a G places / maps page and are NOT listed in any directories that G could have matched them to and them indexed them...

HELL we are GOOD!

I am now going to do exactly the same thing again and see how long it takes to get indexed and / or placed!

I think this is spectacular. Google doesn't care about extensions but only keywords. That is what is so great about them. You just need to have good keywords and if it is exactmatch, then you are in good shape.

That's what I thought Mike, its very, very unusual and to be honest in 20+ years I have never seem this happen so oddly!

Not complaining and might write another KOOL guide about it for the n00bs as its got to be worth a $ a pop!

This happened to one of our clients before. He used wordpress too. No content yet because he has not done anything except install wordpress.

It was #1 for a couple of weeks but then drops off. Exact Match TLD too.

i think when you set the wordpress privacy and you allow search engine to find your site google find it faster especially if you have the TLD exact match.

Hey Ann

We looked at that too, all the installs we do (cheapo ones) are set to NOT indexed (there is a simple reason for this for future work!) on the wp template we made, all 3 have the same template, just photo / color differences and a nice informative header designed for each clients business / niche or personal name.

The only thing that we can find that *may* have got them to the top, is the header image and each single stock home page image has been:

1) hosted on one of our amazon clouds

2) has been named the same as the domain name / niche E.G Big Fat Cheese Drinks .com (example) and bigfatcheesedrinks .jpg .gif .png

Other than that, we are stumped, if its a reality on a couple of test ones we put up yesterday and they get indexed because of the 2 points above (not saying it will be a month!) we better write a WSO

Update:

Been monitoring the sites in OP since posting and taking on board the input from Ann, the sites above and the 2 test sites we put live less than a week ago, using the same process with a tweek, are now on page #1 position #1!

A full wso will be on its way soon lol!

Just an update on the method, we got a message to say that one of the sites in the OP has been sold under an NDA on Flippa for $XXXX yep four figures for no cost!

Now to do it over and over!

This works and works for any niche anywhere in any lang!
