Hey Guys What do you suggest with Facebook Ads for a local business? Per click or per impression? Thanks. |

Click through rates on Facebook are typically a lot lower than on search engines like Google. From my experience, most people get a better return paying per click for that reason. Since people aren't actively looking for whatever your selling (like on Google), Facebook ads will almost always have a lower CTR. But don't take my word for it. I would test them both. |

What they said. Pay per click is better with facebook. Although, you should be trying to get more search engine traffic!

| You can move with pay per click option. Because we can't be sure on how many clicks are happened in impressions. Even-though if there is no clicks we want to pay for impressions.

I actually use both. Start out with PPC and tweak daily, since FB tells you your CPC daily. Once you get a good CTR then go to impressions.

As mentioned above, testing is really the only way to get the right answer but just some advice/recommendation since you are targeting local KWs...go with CPC (and this has been mentioned by others here on the forum and I saw this myself running a few campiagns) as opposed to CPM as you could get a ton of wasted impressions from ads being run in apps. And a good CTR is totally subjective, it really depends on your target demo and your ad copy...most really good campaigns on FB will get a .15 but that will drop pretty quickly as your ads get stale, so you'll have to keep updating the pics, headline and copy to keep it delivering. |
