Hey Warriors, I want to buy a domain with a PR4 or higher. I don't really care much else about the domain for this one, other than that it has high PR. I've browsed this forum and digital point and can't seem to find any PR4+ for a decent price. Can anyone point me in the right direction? |

It might be hard to find someone willing to sell a PR 4 website at that price. In my opinion your best bet would be to pick up an domain that has recently dropped: Expired Domain Names |

Have a look at Dropday.com. You can filter the results to only show PR4's if you like and then show the auctions for today only. Then you just need to do your due diligence on each domain and bid. You can usually pickup PR4s for around $70 to $100.

![]() I was comparing the links on one of those dropday listings. Dropday says Yahoo has 947 backlinks (actual links is 929 with www). What's funny is, If you drop the www & search that domain again, you get 93,236 backlinks. I'm not buying, that's the only reason I posted this on an open forum. ![]() Just wanted to point out, If you do the research, I'm sure others could find a few gems on that site. That listing also says they get 2,000 uniques per day, would make for a good redirect. | |

If you take the time to really research a domain you can find some absolute gold. It isn't uncommon to find a domain with a PR4 (for example) that has inner pages with PR5. If you recreate the page carefully you have got yourself an absolute bargain. PR4s for around $70 while a PR5 will push $300. The backlinks are important too. You want to make sure the links are going to stick. Links inside old articles are the best kind. Sitewide links usually disappear pretty quick. |

Assessing the value of the domain based on age alone can result in some very faulty decisions being made, especially if your intentions are to purchase a domain that will give you instant authority in the search engines. Instead, you need to focus on a variety of factors, such as PR, and most importantly backlinks. For example, at FreshDrop you can see how many Google and Yahoo backlinks are indexed for each site. A 3+ year old site with a decent amount of backlinks, a PR above 3, and a keyword optimized domain name would be the ideal aged domain to purchase.
