I Need Advice to Survive with the Current Changes in Google and without EZA

Hello fellow Warriors,
I've been visiting and reading here lately because I am lost and do not know what will happen to me and my family but still trying to be positive that I can survive all the changes now.
I already accepted the fact and the mistakes I made like:
- Do not put all your eggs in one basket
- Do not depend on authority sites like EZA for your traffic etc.
This is not the time to blame myself and cry over this but this is the time to do something and correct my mistakes. Now that the worst is here I need to do something to survive and I need your advice

My situation: I started IM and bummarketing /affiliate marketing in late 2006 when I lost my job and I started earning in 2007. I've been earning from affiliate marketing around $3K a month in 2007-2009 and that was enough to support my family. And then due to global crisis and many other reasons my earnings dropped to $1-2K a month. I live outside the US and with the exchange rate of $ I am still OK with that and can make ends meet, I am single but taking care of my 2 old parents and sending 2 nieces to school. I am the breadwinner and taking care of all the bills and medical needs of my parents and paying for my house and all the responsibilities of a breadwinner, not to mention I also have my own health issues. Yes tough for a single woman but that's life I have to do what I have to do and be strong.

Most of my traffic comes from article marketing, from EZA and other directories. Lately I've been seeing changes in my stats and today to my horror my EZA account is suspended. I have more then 1,000 articles with them and I always try to adhere to their TOS because I value my account. Now what will I do? Now I am terrified and although I am still making sales now I do not want to arrive at the situation where I will not earn anymore and cannot feed my family. I am trying to be positive here and would like to believe things will get better.

Now I am focusing on yahoo answers, other directories, social bookmarking, updating my wordpress sites, bloggers etc. I need to do something because I have a family to survive...I need your advice on what else to do. Please. Thank you for your time.

I understand your concern about "putting all your eggs in one basket." But for the moment it appears that's good advice for the future.

Now that your account has been suspended by EZA, have you tried reaching out to them to try and find out why? Though I have not experienced it myself, I have seen accounts by others who have experienced suspensions and who were able to get their accounts reactivated by correcting the issue.

Yes contact them immediately, see if they will Identify what the issue is. Personally I think there actions are reprehensible.

Thank you very much. I sent a short email asking them what is the problem for me to do the necessary correction. But of course I need to work on how not to depend on EZA for my traffic.

Raquel, I have about 4500 articles published at Ezine Articles and they suspended my account yesterday. I sent them a short email asking WHY... I wasn't even trying to submit any new articles.

So far I haven't received any answer but my account is active again except for its status has been chaged to basic PLUS. I was in one of those "taboo" niches so I am not really surprised.

I am in a similar boat, Raquel.
I have 1k articles with them but was reduced to Basic status today after 2 years at Platinum.
Why?
They said quality had dropped off, but did not substantiate where.
I think they are panicking because of the Google slap, but they are going the wrong way about it.
They are not the be-alland-end-all they maybe once were anyway.
Stuff them.

You probably had your account suspended, because your articles didn't abide with their new rules like writing more than 400 words articles, and having unique content in each article (no rewriting what so ever).

Contact them, and hopefully they will re-instate your account. Anyway, even if your account is suspended, your articles might still be live.

Consider using other directories. I've often found that articles are higher ranked, when posted to ArticlesBase, and they seem to get more syndicated.

When you're back in business, why not create a WSO telling, how you make $1,000-$3,000 per months with BUM marketing? Step by step with case examples etc. would work well, judging from the interest for other products like that.

If you have copies of all those articles (you do, right?) put them on your own domains, and spread them over other content-publishing platforms.

I agree this is your "call to action" both kevin and britt had some great advice
it's time to create a WSO or some other product based on your knowledge

a 1,000 article is no easy feat and I'm sure you have amassed a healthy and "profitable" degree of knowledge as a result.....it's time for you to rise to the next level...

I just wonder if eza is finished with all their "changes" based on G's algo
changes, or if more are in store,they seem to be "rolling" them out a little each day

Diversify your traffic and backlink methods, and while you are building your new strategy immeadiately start using PPC and solo ads to try to mitigate the google damage. Yes your roi will change because you now are paying for traffic rather than getting if for "free". just my 2 pennies.

Thank you very much to all who replied. You all uplifted my spirits and helped me keep going. I attended church last night and I was reminded how David faced and conquered Goliath. Now we are facing a Goliath with the changes the big G made.

I've been using other 7 article directories including Articlebase and EZA but now I am submitting to other high ranking article directories and web 2.0 sites. Doing more Yahoo answers, onlywire and socialmarker too and of course taking all your suggestions and advice.

About the WSO, thank you for the encouragement. Although I do not consider myself very knowledgeable about IM, I will think about it. I am a just a hardworker and not as knowledgeable as others here. Instead of thinking and analyzing if a certain strategy will work or not I just go on with it, do the work and test it. And I made sales here and there and keep surviving. Until this big changes of G's

Depending on your time-frame and specific needs, offering services is always a good place to get started. Consider your strengths - article writing, seo, etc. - and put together some packages as a WSO or a listing in the Warriors for Hire section. That might help keep you afloat while you're rebuildling.

Thanks..I'm actually lost as I am not seeing sales and earnings for 5 days now. I am having anxiety but trying hard to be positive about this. Hope things will get better.
