Hubpages - Are you suppose to Submit them to Article Directories?

Hi: I'm new to hubpages. I know submitting the Hubpage url to backlink sites is highly recommended. HOWEVER, are you suppose to submit the article itself to directories. Or just the url? Confused.

Well hubpages also just had their ass handed to them, keep that in mind before you get all black ops using 4 year old tactics, you may get an undesirable result if your hoping for traffic from Google.com
