Hi Everybody,

Can anyone suggest me how can i increase the alexa ranking of my websites. I have been trying to increase it from the last 5 month but again its reaching at the same position. Tell that process in which only i will be involved.

Alexa get the data (only) from alexa toolbar that installed on browser, you must downloand this add-on to your firefox. If your web/blog never opened from anyone browser that don't have alexa toolbar, I'm sure the rank will never increase..

Probably because of the theory that the higher the alexa ranking, the better your SERPs will be.

According to me ,Write content about webmasters. This is because most of the webmasters use Alexa toolbar. You may write and post articles impart to SEO, webmaster tools.

Less alexa is good. Alexa totally depends on visitors to sites. More visitors means your alexa will decrease.

You should get more and more traffic on your website to get high alexa rank by google .
Proxy , social bookmarking and backlinks are good ways to do it

Oh wow all these replies and not one of them has given you a decent way to increase your alexa rating. You want to know the best way?

1. Put an alexa widget or alexa banner on your site. You know the ones that show your Alexa rating and then link to your Alexa stats page.

2. Get some various paid traffic. I don't just mean something that's coming from the same place. I mean traffic exchanges, paid direct traffic.

Write down your alexa rating before doing this then check it in 7 days after.
Gunna blow you away....

Alexa rating is waaayyyyyyy over rated anyway!!!

Concentrate more on what your website offers not so much on what your bloody PR or alexa number is!

It depends upon the back links to your site..
Ever since Alexage brought my site's rank bellow 50K, I've noticed that my site started ranking a lot better on Google, I'm pretty sure that's because Google gives priority to websites with high Alexa rank.

When I first started, I thought Alexa rankings were important to getting a high SERP. My ranking has gone from like 27million to under 800k. Whether that matters or not, I have no idea, but it can't be bad.

My SERPs seem to revolve around specific blog postings. I have a number that are quite high (first few spots in Google for keyword) just a short time after posting. Others climb, others climb, fall, climb, etc. My site itself is probably never going to rank for the incredibly competitive "organic gardening" keyword phrase, but if my individual pages rank well, I imagine I'll still get the traffic.

The only thing I did.......is increase traffic to my site and install the alexa tool bar and visit my site almost every day. I did nothing else that was suggested above. I see a decrease in the number every single week. good luck.

Me too - we were at 22 million and now we're at under 800k - there must be SOME value in this (even if it just shows more traffic.)

First of all you must install tool bar on IE and if you are using firefox you may install addon termed as SearchStatus, It will record alexa data and will track your own visit as well. Then do one thing set your website as default browser page so every time when ever you open your browser you'll give auto visit to your website. Each unique visitor to your site will boost your Alexa, so traffic is significant as well.

Traffic will definitely drive your Alexa ranking up. Buy some traffic off autosurfing sites or adf.ly as they are extremely fast to deliver and are also reliable and cheap.
