Text Based Navigation

Hi all,

At the present, I am reading a reference book on Search Engine Optimization written by Bruce Clay, and the book mentions the use of a text based navigation for websites, but it doesn't show what it looks like. Can someone point me to a link that shows what text based navigation looks like?

Text based navigation is everywhere, including here at the WF.
It uses text instead of images for links to pages of the website.
It's a good practice because images are not necessarily
user friendly, but you can use the alt attribute.

Small menus can be done with images, but links to huge amounts
of content would be onerous with images.

Your post is using text based navigation...

What this really means is NOT to use graphics/images such as buttons for links so that you have anchor text that contains keywords.
