I have been doing this for awhile and know a lot about backlinks but I never really knew or heard how long a backlink has to stay for you to get permanent juice from it. I mean say I have a link on a PR 6 site and they remove the link after a month, do I lose that juice or is it permanent after it get's indexed? Anyone know? Thanks |

If you LOSE backlinks, google doesn't like that very much, you might be worse off than you were before getting the backlink. You will lose all juice. And since a high PR page, once had you linked, but no longer does, that devalues your site a little bit.

backlink age can be one of the criteria google use. So make sure you get permanent backlinks.
