Newbies! Write great SEO Articles for Article Marketing or PLR packs!

Many times I have seen people who are new to article marketing, asking about how to write good SEO articles. What are LSI keywords, where to place the main keyword etc. So I decided to write this post to help some people who are green to article marketing.

Now I am not branding myself as any authority or anything, but just trying to help some people because I was at there place once, Reading Forums and Youtube to do one simple thing, which actually is very tough: LEARN. I call it tough because there is so much info available that you are bound to get confused. What I did was didn't take action, jumped from one money making Idea to another and then of course wasted money and not make anything.
Many costly mistakes later I have now realized that there is no Shortcut to success. Two things are neccessary to be successful in anything-:

1.)Persistence
2.)Hard Work

And of course Taking action. So I started from article marketing which is the most basic form of Marketing But still works. Then moved on to adsense, Cpa etc.

Article Marketing is something that is very tiring, but its like an asset which is bound to pay you in the long Run. The articles you write today after keyword research can bring in traffic for years to come.

The hard work you do today can be very beneficial in the long run. Of course when you begin, you get little or no traffic, but after 4-5 weeks you'll start to notice an increase in your traffic. This will increase over a long time and yes it stays consistent.
Also its a great way of building authority backlinks to your site. Just put the Anchor text along with your site url in the resource box of article directories. Resource boxes are small boxes, where authors are allowed to wrote a few lines about themselves and give their website URL.
The Anchor text is your primary keyword which you will hyperlink to your adsense or affiliate site.

Also anybody in need of money can write articles and offer them as PLR on a hot Topic. You can also start a service, offering to write articles for people. Checkout the warriors for Hire section. Remember, people will ALWAYS need articles.


So lets start with tips to write SEO articles.



Ist tip
Try to thoroughly research your articles as well as you can. My advice is to search on google for the keyword on which you have to write in Quotes. You can also check article directory sites like goarticles, articledashboard, Ezine Articles, Articlebase etc.
You can copy articles you like or parts of articles that you like and save them in a word document. Then just rewrite the whole thing.
If you have any other method of research you can use that too. This method is just fast.



2nd Tip
Along with the primary phrase, you should use some related keywords that you will have to use throughout the article. Related keywords are just words related to the primary phrase.The related keywords have to be used throughout the article. Don't get confused. Just think, that if you were writing an article on the topic of how to blow dry your hair, you will be using words such as blowdryer, hair, shampoo etc. These are all related words. These are called LSI keywords.LSI means Latent Semantic Index.LSI is based on the principle that words that are used in the same contexts tend to have similar meanings. So the related keywords are LSI keywords.


Sometimes you may rank for your related keywords rather then your main keywords! But the main use of the Latent Semantic keywords are that Guru Google gives more weight age to your article if it appears natural. And the only way to they will appear natural is if similar words are used.
To find LSI keywords, you can use the google keyword tool, Google Wonderwheel or several other sites. Google wonderwheel is shown on the left hand side of your search result of the google homepage. Type a query and click on the Wonderwheel. The Bold Keywords are all related keywords.
For me, I use QUINTURA.



3rd Tip
Give a good Headline. I will give you the example of the Warrior Special offers section. Tell me when you browse the offers, what makes you click on them? Of course, the Headline. Whether it is an article or a salesletter, a headline is what will draw the traffic. Because it is the haedline that your reader will read first. Checkout Ezine articles for examples.

2)Top 5 tips to make money with article marketing

Obviously the second one. Just because it is compelling and excites the reader. When giving a heading, just ask yourself, what will you find interesting if you were to read your article. Remember, while writing articles, you should always remember the rule that 'Reader is King'!(Okie I altered that a bit)



Last Tip
This is the most imp point. Be sure that you include the primary phrase about 3-4 times throughout the article. It is necessary to include the Exact phrase in

Last line of the article.

Never insert the phrase more than 4 Times in the article. How many times you put your main keyword in the article determines if it will be ranked or not. This is called keyword Density. Your ideal keyword density should be 3 to 4%. Check your Keyword Density here.

Back in the old days, people used to rank for keywords by stuffing the primary keyword as many times throughout the article as possible. Now Google is smarter and will consider such articles to be Spam.



You can start by writing for ezine articles. This way your article will get indexed quickly.

The Best way of getting backlinks is Blog Commenting on high PR link Websites. Please never spam. What you should do is search for 'Do Follow Blogs' on Google.

After you find blogs with good PR from 2-7 etc, just post your comment in the form of a 100 -200 word post. Add your Anchor text and your Site Url. You can get it outsourced if you want. Yes, it requires work, and takes time but You will have legitimate links. I always advice whitehat SEO methods to everyone because Whitehat site are the ones that mostly pass the google manual inspection tests. Getting Backlinks by Blackhat methods will up your serps faster but your site may be deindexed before you can say Adsense! Google is way smarter than you think.

Another think I should mention is that you should always have 2-3 links pointing to authority websites from your site like Wikipedia, or about.com.
These are inbound links. Google sees them as natural. Otherwise if you only have incoming links and no outgoing hyperlinks to other sites, then obviously its not natural. Just remember to put them where its difficult for the user to see. Such as at the end of the page.
You don't want your reader to navigate away from your site!

Good tip, however with blog backlinks you would want anchor link to be your keyword and this is where you run into moderation problems

Hi Alina, it's great posting. Actually Article marketing is powerful way to drive targeted traffic to our site. But most people abuse it. Their target how fast the article indexed by search engine regardless the quality of article. They write article just for search engine not for human being.Their goal how many back link they earn regardless the article can be understood with human sense or not.Sure this way still can drive traffic but not targeted traffic(low conversion). If you want to get long term and targeted traffic, offer valuable content for visitor, don't write article just for search engine! and focus in quality rather than quantity!

If your blog post is good and offers valuable content then why would it be deleted by the moderators? For me, I always post 100 words of blog comment on the blogs. They have never got deleted! Yet!
This is one reason I prefer posting upon those blogs that are in the same niche as my adsense site.

Some of your info is quite good, although I disagree with taking articles or parts of articles and then rewriting them. That's not my idea of research nor does it create an original article. However, that's beside the point.

I have questions about the above bolded points.

1. You say include the keyword 3-4 times, then later say the ideal density would 3-4%. That doesn't add up. For a 400 word article (now required by EZA), to reach the percentage you claim as ideal, you would need to use the keyword in the articles 12 to 16 times.

2. Where is your evidence that this 3-4% is ideal anyway? Which by the way, again back to EZA, they will reject your article if you go over 2% (and that includes the resource box).

3. Where is your evidence that it is necessary to put the keywords where you specify?

4. I disagree with "How many times you put your main keyword in the article determines if it will be ranked or not". Naturally, you should include the keyword some but I've seen people get ranked with using a term only once. I've even some things rank for terms that are not in the article at all.

I am with you on this Caksut. People would always find ways of Abusing great seo methods and turning them to greyhat! From Stuffing keywords in their post to rank better to spamming blogs! Every method becomes greyhat after some time. Right now the method I see that is misused most is spamming on edu blogs.
They don't understand the simple thing that if you provide value, you will be rewarded by Google with Serps and Sales will Follow.

I give the example of rewriting articles because Most newbies and sometimes expert alike hate writing, so rather than researching and writing 1 article per day, they can rewrite some Plr articles or ezine articles as a start. As they become accustomed to writing articles, they can start outsourcing original articles or writing them in their words.

Acc to the keyword density tool I use the percentage is ideal. Don't calculate it manually. Put the article in the keyword tool and see for yourself.

I place my main keyword in my ezine article for a maximum of three times and they have never been rejected for this reason. And they do rank ranging from page 1-3.

You can cut and paste this article in the keyword density tool I mention and See that the keyword density is less than 4%. Just put 'Eating Disorder' in the space given for keyword one.
This article is ranking on the first page of Google for eating disorders

Sites that are ranked for keywords that are not the primary keywords because they are LSI terms. Thats why it is important to use LSI terms in the article.

Also, if you write the article acc to the keyword density on an adsense site, the adsense ads that are shown will be relevant to the keyword

Site statistic sites. Some offer a backlink, although most are nofollow. But probably the easiest way to gain backlinks. There are some free software or scripts that send your site to over 31,000 statistics sites

Alina,just wanted to thank you for the very informative post. I stumbled this forum a few weeks ago and I am so glad I did. Hey David, You are lucky that you stumbled upon the Warrior Forum. Its a goldmine of Information. Along with that there are so many helpful warriors always there to help you out. Heck, the Gurus themselves hang out here!

And yeah, the abundance of info that you faced is very common, and its easy to get confused. I would just advice you to read as much as you can, take action, and think yourself, if this can work or not. You'll find several warriors revealing techniques of how they make money. Its valuable info, but remember, what works for others may not work for you. So always think before you leap. Learn from your failures as your bound to make mistakes in the beginning. Success will come if you keep working hard.
One last thing, is since your a newbie, you'll be lured into products sold by the gurus, to make you thousands of Dollars in a week. While that is possible in certain cases you'll have to perfect your marketing techniques to reach that level. My advice would be that you keep your goals reachable. Don't go for making $500 a day. Rather Do what I did. I aimed for $1 a day. I scaled it up. After the money starts coming in, it will motivate you further to work hard and succeed.
Since you are working on article marketing, stick to it till you learn the ropes. Its easy to get distracted in the IM Niche. Concentrate on one thing till you succeed. If other people can do it why can't you too? Remember Persistence and Hard work is the key to success.
Lastly, Hang around the Forum. You're going to receive a lot of advice from experienced warriors here! Don't hesitate to post even you have any questions that you think the warriors will consider silly. You'll be surprised at how helpful they are!

I Don't. What I do is write an Original Article and post it to 10 of my favorite Article Directories. Don't worry, you'll get backlinks because article directories want original content. And original content is Content that you either own or have written it yourself. So it will be indexed no matter. And...Duplicate Content is a Myth. Search around the Forum and you'll learn that most article Marketing Experts say that YOUR article posted on different site is not Duplicate content.

And yes, posting to just the top three directories will give you enough Linkjuice, since directories like Ezinearticles, ArticleBase, Goarticles and ArticleDashboard receive the Bulk of the Traffic from Search Engines.
