Default Wikipedia first result

I've found a two-words keyword that has 19,000 Local Monthly Searches and 34,000 Global Monthly Searches, 16 millions results in Google but the first result is Wikipedia. There are also 2-3 domains ranking and then only product pages like walmart. There is also an affiliate page on the 6-7 result of he first page.

Do you think is hard to outrank a Wikipedia page? The page is the exact keyword.

I don't see any help in your post and is not the first time. Please, if you don't have to offer any value, do not post anything. I know you want more backlinks for your signature url but try elsewhere.

In my experience, a new site even with very good nmber of links, will struggle to outrank Wiki. But, once your site get some age it will easily outrank Wiki. You need some site Age and some good backlinks. Its possible but need some additional effort.

The Wikipedia page has exact keyword in title and is PR5, 3000 backlinks to the page.
The second result doesn't have the keyword in title, or meta description, or H1 tag. It is less than a year old but PR6, 45000 backlinks to the domain.
Third result is a consumersearch.com page, PR6 and keyword in title, meta tag and H1, 300 backlinks to the page.
Next one is a walmart page, PR0, keyword in title and meta description, 24 backlinks.
The fifth result is an argos.co.uk page, PR0, no keyword in title or meta description. 2 backlinks to that page.

@ XtremXpert

it seems almost impossible to outrank wikipedia.

if it is a product related keyword. what form wikipedia title has, singular or plural?
where are you checking the results in google usa or google.co.uk

Wikipedia ranks #6 for the plural. The affiliate site I said earlier is #3 and the first two are top domain results.

27k local and 50k global searches.

if you are really interested in this niche, i would suggest optimize plural. set up a 1 page website. verify your website in Google Webmaster Central. give it 25 or 50 backlinks (use keyword as anchor text you selected) or if you think niche is competitive give it more links. forget it for 1 or 2 months. After a few months check search queries in google webmaster tools.

google webmaster tools will show you the search queries for your site is appearing if any.

you may not ranking at all for the keyword you were optimizing. in this case select some other related keywords you are already ranking according to gwt

select those that have higher impressions and also notice avg position of that keyword.

are you checking the stats correctly.

use this Google AdWords: Keyword Tool. Select exact match

are you based in usa? otherwise search with zend2.com

according to semrush argos is not ranking in usa for any popular keyword, argos.co.uk - Google organic keywords report for this domain

I'm not based in USA and this time I was not using a usa proxy, anyway, the first places don't change much with a usa proxy.
The first place is amazon, then walmart, wikipedia being the third.

I think this keyword is really good for a quality website, not the 2-3 pages adsense type. In time, a really great website I think can outrank amazon, wikipedia and the other competition and will get nice revenue.
