How does Gxxgle distinguish company paid back links from natural back links? Please submit all your ideas.

Is it possible for them to peer into the I.P. of the post and if they can recognize the I.P. of a company who does these links that Gxxgle would disregard those back links?

xx was used instead of oo to keep this from coming up in search results from either the Big G or those who type it in.
