How many visitors for Google No.1

Dear Warriors,

I am targetting one of the keywords that have 1000 global monthly searches in Exact Match.

Does anybody have an idea how I can estimate the number of visitors that I can expect to have if I ranked number 3 or number 4 in Google for that specific keyword?

#1, maybe 20 hits a day. #3 or #4, somewhere between 5 and 15 hits a day.

You would probably get a little more than 30ish for #3 and #4. Do it!

I am ranking #2 for my main keyword for exactly 1000 searches. Getting arround 20-30 visitors every day. But more than half is from other keywords that i didnt target.

I am ranking on second page for some keywords that on exact match have 33100 searches per month and i think i get 100+ visitors/per day. For first page first position i would expect 1000/visitors per day.

From memory i think the top spot gets 52%

I have read the same thing. I also read that after number 3 the rate goes down to 6%.

Hi,

Since you are already in the 3rd or 4th pos...you will get a % of the traffic...why dont you check out those 1st and 2nd pos and see how much backlinks they have?

I believe your backlinks are not far from them..once you get to the top, you will experience a big jump in traffic..as for conversion, it depends on your site..

Expect 35-40% for #1.

Just a little tip, don't aim for just one keyword. If your keywords have various other ways of putting it across such as "Plumbers in London" you could also try and get ranks for other keywords such as "London based Plumbers"

Just an example I didn't do any keyword research for this and I doubt your going to be a plumber yourself.

As I know, there is no specific traffic requirement for being on Page 1. It's totally depending on your keyword demands and competitors. If you work with any uncommon word then only 100 searchers per month can get you on page 1 too.
